Monthly meetings (January to November) are held on the 3rd Saturday of the month at Dundry Nurseries, Bamfurlong Lane, Cheltenham, GL51 6SL. The programme of events consists of a variety of speakers and workshops related to our crafts.
The hall is open from 10am for members and guests to join in a spinning / weaving session during which people can chat and exchange information and techniques over a cup of coffee. (Kitchen facilities are available, and Dundry Nurseries has a cafe. You are welcome to bring your own refreshments). Guild meetings then follow at 1.45pm, before our guest speaker is introduced at 2pm. Our meetings end at 4pm.
The aim of the guild is to promote the art of weaving, spinning and dyeing. To support this, an independent workshop is run twice a month on the first and third Wednesdays of each month where we weave and spin, offering help and support to those who attend, whatever their level of ability. We have just introduced a third workshop on the last Wednesday of the month exclusively for dyeing. Many existing and new guild members attend these workshops.
The Guild also gives demonstrations at a number of events throughout the year.
